Forbes recently wrote an article on this topic. Investing in real estate has jolted the millennial generation in purchasing homes. Its not that they haven’t always been purchasing homes – have been #1 for 4 consecutive years.
The article states that Millennials want above 2,500 SF, 4 bedrooms, outdoor space, shower & tub in master bath and hardwood floors. This makes it seem that when purchasing they are thinking about the future and not what they need right now (i.e. a starter home).
